We'll register you with:
Tax portal: My Alabama Taxes (MAT) for paying and managing your tax accounts
We'll securely share your login credentials along with your employer ID
State income tax: Alabama Department of Revenue
You'll get your employer ID within about 1 week
State unemployment tax: Alabama Department of Labor
You'll get your employer ID and tax rate within the first week after you run your first payroll
Local tax agencies: Alabama Avenu Insights/Revenue Discovery Systems (RDS) for local taxes

Sit back and relax—we'll let you know if we need anything else from you along the way. Most of the time you won't need to do anything until it's time to enter your new Employer IDs into your payroll system.

Once Alabama issues your Employer IDs, we'll work with you to make sure they're entered into your payroll correctly.

If you have any questions in the future, we won't leave you hanging. We offer ongoing support packages in case anything goes wrong (and to make sure nothing goes wrong in the first place).
