Delaware employer registration

We'll register you with:
State income tax: Delaware Division of Revenue
You'll get your Withholding account number within about a few business days
State unemployment tax: Delaware Department of Labor
You'll get your account number and tax rate and tax rate within a few business days
Local tax agency: Wilmington Account Number (if applicable) for local taxes
You'll get your Employer ID within 2 weeks

Sit back and relax—we'll let you know if we need anything else from you along the way. Most of the time you won't need to do anything until it's time to enter your new Employer IDs and tax rates into your payroll system.

Once Delaware issues your Employer IDs, we'll work with you to enter your IDs and tax rates into your payroll correctly.

If you have any questions in the future, we won't leave you hanging. We offer ongoing support packages in case anything goes wrong (and to make sure nothing goes wrong in the first place).
