Hawaii employer registration

We'll register you with:
Tax portal: Hawaii Tax Online for paying and managing your tax accounts
We'll securely share your login credentials along with your employer ID
State income tax: Hawaii Department of Taxation
You'll get your Hawaii withholding ID within about 1 week 
State unemployment tax: Hawaii Department of Labor & Industrial Relations
You'll get your and tax rate within 3 weeks after you hire your first employee
Insurance: Hawaii requires that you provide temporary disability insurance (TDI). In most cases, you will also need to provide employer-sponsored health insurance.
We'll help navigate TDI deductions in your payroll
We can help you get set up with a statutory plan or advise on alternative plans that meet Hawaii requirements. Insurance support is discounted if purchased as part of your registration.
 
Sit back and relax—we'll let you know if we need anything else from you along the way. Most of the time you won't need to do anything until it's time to enter your new Employer IDs and tax rates into your payroll system.

Once Hawaii issues your Employer IDs, we'll work with you to enter your account numbers and withholding rates, including TDI deductions into your payroll correctly.
