Iowa employer registration

We'll register you with:
Tax portal: myIowaUI for paying and managing your unemployment accounts
We'll securely share your login credentials along with your Employer IDs
State income tax: Iowa Department of Revenue (DOR) Iowa Department of Revenue (DOR)
You'll get your Withholding Permit Number and tax deposit schedule within about 4-6 weeks
State unemployment tax: Iowa Workforce Development
You'll get your Unemployment Insurance (UI) and tax rate within a few business days after you run your first payroll

Sit back and relax—we'll let you know if we need anything else from you along the way. Most of the time you won't need to do anything until it's time to enter your new Employer IDs and tax rates into your payroll system.

Once Iowa issues your Employer IDs, we'll remind you to check your mail for letters from the Iowa Department of Revenue. Once you have it, we'll register you with Iowa Workforce Development and help you enter your Withholding Permit Number and Unemployment Insurance ID into payroll. We'll also help you get your myIowaUI login set up so you can monitor notices from the Agency.

If you have any questions in the future, we won't leave you hanging. We offer ongoing support packages in case anything goes wrong (and to make sure nothing goes wrong in the first place).
