State taxes: New Jersey Division of Revenue (DOR) and Department of Labor and Workforce Development
You'll get your Employer Registration Number within a few business days
Local tax agencies: Local taxes in the City of Newark and Jersey City

Sit back and relax—we'll let you know if we need anything else from you along the way. Most of the time you won't need to do anything until it's time to enter your new Employer ID and tax rates into your payroll system.

Once New Jersey issues your Employer ID, we'll work with you to enter your employer number and tax rate into your payroll correctly. We'll also help you set up local taxes if you're in Jersey City or Newark.

If you have any questions in the future, we won't leave you hanging. We offer ongoing support packages in case anything goes wrong (and to make sure nothing goes wrong in the first place).
