Tax portal: NC SUITs managing your Unemployment account
We'll securely share your login credentials along with your Employer IDs
State income tax: North Carolina Department of Revenue (DOR) and NC Secretary of State
You'll get your Account ID and filing frequency within a few business days
State unemployment tax: North Carolina Employment Security Commission
You'll get your Employment Security Account Number (EAN) and tax rate within 4-6 weeks after you run your first payroll
 
Watch the mail—we'll remind you to look out for your Unemployment information, which will arrive via USPS after about a month. We'll let you know if we need anything else from you along the way. Most of the time you won't need to do anything until it's time to enter your new Employer IDs and tax rates into your payroll system.

We'll help you set up your income tax withholdings right away. After that, we'll remind you to watch the mail for a letter from the Employment Security Commission. Once your Account Number arrives, we'll help you update your Unemployment deductions. into your payroll correctly.
