Vermont employer registration

We'll register you with:
Tax portal: MyVTax for paying and managing your tax accounts
We'll securely share your login credentials along with your Employer IDs
State income tax: Vermont Department of Taxes (DOT), Secretary of State, Health Care Coverage (HCC), and Child Care Contribution (CCC) tax
You'll get your Business Tax Account Number within about about 10 business days after signing your Power of Attorney
State unemployment tax: Vermont Department of Labor (DOL)
You'll get your Employer Number and tax rate within 2 weeks after you run your first payroll
 
We'll coordinate an online notary to have you sign the required forms to have us and your payroll provider act on your behalf. After that's done, sit back and relax—we'll let you know if we need anything else from you along the way. Most of the time you won't need to do anything until it's time to enter your new Employer IDs and tax rates into your payroll system.

Once Vermont issues your Employer IDs, we'll work with you to enter them and your tax rates into your payroll correctly.

If you have any questions in the future, we won't leave you hanging. We offer ongoing support packages in case anything goes wrong (and to make sure nothing goes wrong in the first place).
