Virginia employer registration

We'll register you with:
Tax portal: VEC’s ESS portal for paying and managing your tax accounts
We'll securely share your login credentials along with your Employer IDs
State income tax: Virginia Department of Taxation (TAX)
You'll get your VA Tax Account Number and Income tax withholding deposit schedule within about a week
State unemployment tax: Virginia Employment Commission (VEC)
You'll get your VEC Account Number and tax rate within about a week 

Sit back and relax—we'll let you know if we need anything else from you along the way. Most of the time you won't need to do anything until it's time to enter your new Employer IDs and tax rates into your payroll system.

Once Virginia issues your Employer IDs, we'll work with you to setup your VEC ESS login and enter your tax IDs into your payroll correctly.

If you have any questions in the future, we won't leave you hanging. We offer ongoing support packages in case anything goes wrong (and to make sure nothing goes wrong in the first place).
